That's what Bernard Leach has to say about teapots in "A Potter's Book",the old curmudgeon. I've never been particularly happy with the teapots I make: this design, though time-consuming, is the best I have come up with so far.I rather enjoy getting the oval lids to fit their oval pots, and the bent spouts are also fun to do.Today I'm firing a bisc, cleaning up the studio and moving from stoneware to porcelain for another bisc-worth [mainly pots for crystal glazing and some proposed oil-spot glaze tests] before starting glaze firings in a week or so.
