Hats Off

We opened the anagama yesterday [i.e. the students did all the work,forming a chain to unload the pots- I just wandered about offering cold water to those in need and making general appreciative noises].As [I] expected,after a cracking firing,the results were excellent- good ash effects all over the kiln,and only one collapsed pot [one of mine,of course].Here are some pictures of the students and their pots [that's Netzer inside the kiln]- tomorrow we are firing the salt kiln with Ayelet [it's all go],but I'll try to photograph my [uncollapsed] pots soon.
